Hello, I’m Syakier.
A day job in KL.
A camera everywhere else.

Chasing quiet moments across Asia, one weekend and one frame at a time.

— THE STORY —

How a working adult from KL started chasing light.

I never planned to take photography seriously. I work a regular 9-to-5 in Kuala Lumpur. The camera was supposed to be a hobby — something to do on weekends.

But every trip kept teaching me something new about why I picked it up in the first place.

Then, this January, I saw snow for the first time in my life — in Sapporo, Japan. I was waiting for a train when it started falling. My lips and ears went numb from a cold I’d never felt before. But the snowflakes kept coming, and I didn’t care anymore. I just stood there, watching. Thirty years into my life, and that was my first snow.

That’s the kind of moment I want to hold on to — not just in a photo, but somewhere I can look back on and remember exactly how it felt. This blog is what happens when I stop holding it in.
